Administration and banks open generally from 8.00 A.M
through 5.00 P.M.
Sunday is a weekly holiday. Most of the stores open early
in the morning and close late in the evening.
Currency
The national currency in Tunisia is the Dinar, divided
in 1000 millimes. Available in banknotes and coins.
The “Banque Centrale” (www.bct.gov.tn)
issues the rates on a daily basis.
Credit cards are accepted in hotels and most
of the stores. Master Card and Visa Card are accepted
all over the country.
American Express and diners club are accepted in
some hotels and stores.
Import or export of local currency is strictly forbidden.
You should keep with you the different receipts after
changing money so that you can give back at the airport
the remaining amount of Dinars when you are leaving
the country and get back 30% of foreign
currency.
ATMs are available everywhere, especially in large
cities, hotels airports and malls.

Temperatures in October :
As with its landscape, Tunisia's climate offers
a season for everyone's taste. Sailing, surfing,
diving, golfing, exploring the archeological sites,
deserts and oasis is a pleasure from October to May
when the average temperature ranges from 12 to 28° C.
Autumn, October to December, offers warm seas and
a particularly golden sun.
